πJS aka Stephen Joannon (Artist, Gallery Owner, Exhibition Curator, Music Critic…)
A versatile visual artist and a conduit of forms, πJS presents here a series of editions derived from his painting work currently shown in galleries. This series reinterprets the icons of Pop Art and contemporary Street Art, reworked with the artist’s own codes. Preview these editions before you can bid on the real acrylic-painted canvases that will go on sale mid-July. Do not hesitate to also check out the artist’s sculptural works (Les Robbit). A series of vividly colored sculptures, mischievous homage to the worlds of Barry Flanagan, Jeff Koons and Kaws, guided by the electronic motifs of Herbie Hancock — particularly Rockit (1983), from which its name is born. Created in Tourrettes-sur-Loup in collaboration with an exceptional craftsman, the collection comes in four silhouettes, each then hand-painted in strictly unique variations.
Poem of metal and matter, ROBBIT blends bold pop with playful gentleness: a sculptural presence that strikes with its chromatic optimism and visual melody. These pieces, designed to catch the eye and complement contemporary collections, are produced in limited editions — an invitation to seize the work before its disappearance.
