HISTORICAL DESCRIPTION
The Savinelli Dry System line represents one of the most technically advanced productions of the historic Italian maker Savinelli.

Developed to offer a drier, fresher smoke, this series uses:
- internal condensation chamber;
- proprietary Dry System;
- provision for a balsa filter;
- special mouthpiece design aimed at improving smoke flow.
The shape 1616 is a classic compact curved billiard, very balanced in proportions and particularly appreciated by enthusiasts of an elegant and technical daily smoke.

CONDITION
Original SAVINELLI DRY SYSTEM specimen never smoked, sourced from the stockroom/post of a historic Italian tobacconist.

The pipe shows no signs of actual use:
- inner chamber completely virginal;
- no cake or combustion residues;
- draw hole perfectly clean;
- no internal oxidation from smoking;
- original mouthpiece intact with logo “S”.
The light surface micro-traces visible when held up to light are compatible exclusively with long-term display in a shop window and commercial display for many years, a phenomenon typical of NOS (“New Old Stock”) pipes from old tobacconists or historic warehouses.

These minimal aesthetic marks should not be considered structural defects, but rather evidence of the piece’s original era conservation and authenticity.

Overall gloss of the briar, freshness of the chamber, and the integrity of the Dry System confirm that the pipe has never been smoked nor heavily restored.
