Peter Tam (1942) - Sea Life - 66 cm

Very beautiful and unique solid wood artwork by Belgian-Taiwanese artist Peter Tam.
Engineer Peter H.T. Tam (born 1942) spent his whole life fascinated by art and philosophy and thus sought a way to bring both elements together in a single art form. The abstract shapes in his art represent the highs and lows, and the figures embody the character of the person. Each artwork is carved from a solid block of wood; each person can interpret the artwork in a different way. Each piece is hand-carved and therefore unique. In this abstract figure we can recognize marine life, with aquatic plants and fish, cut with attention to detail. At the bottom of the pedestal we can find the artist’s signature.
