Up for sale is a stunning piece of tobacciana history: a vintage "SUPER" semi-automatic lift-arm petrol lighter. This is not your average vintage lighter; it features a unique, spring-loaded side compartment designed to hold matches—a "fail-safe" design for the gentleman who never wanted to be without a light!
Aesthetic: Features a beautiful Art Deco-inspired industrial design with vertical "speed lines" and red enamel accents.
Function: The semi-automatic mechanism is snappy and responsive. When the lever is pressed, the cap flips open and the flint wheel strikes simultaneously.
Dual-Purpose: The side of the lighter swings open to reveal a dedicated space for matches and a striking surface.
Markings: The bottom is stamped with "PAT. APPL. FOR" and "G.M.", indicating an early production run before the final patent was granted.
