vintage briar tobacco pipe by Ropp, one of France's most historic pipe manufacturers, founded in 1869 by Eugène-Léon Ropp and long associated with the Saint-Claude/Baume-les-Dames pipe-making tradition. This example likely dates to the 1950s–1970s, based on the stamping style and stem construction. Stamped "Ropp Régence" on the shank, with the maker's oval "ROPP" logo also inset into the vulcanite bent stem. Complete with its original branded cloth drawstring pouch, printed with the ROPP oval logo — a nice provenance detail rarely found intact with pipes of this age. Weight: 35g. Condition: good vintage condition with honest wear consistent with age and use, including light nibbling at the stem tip; pouch shows expected fabric aging/staining but is fully intact.
