About the author: Cesare Genuzio, born in Cividale del Friuli in 1947, lives in Pordenone and works in the fields of advertising, architectural, and industrial reportage photography. He teaches photography at professional training institutes. In 2004, upon completion of his work on the construction of the new Olympic stadium in Athens, designed by Santiago Calatrava, the Province of Pordenone dedicated the solo exhibition “Ingegno e Mito” to him. He has also held many other exhibitions in the region and abroad, including, to name a few, “La città nel tempo” (Pordenone 2008) and “Ingenuity and Myth” (Brussels 2009). Genuzio also documented the construction of the Warsaw stadium. The CRAF awarded him the Friuli Venezia Giulia Photography Prize in 2007.
