Three Polaroids. Three Moments. A Mountain.

The first image shows the Matterhorn from afar—still, almost shy. It rises from the darkness like a memory that slowly takes shape.

In the second Polaroid the mountain moves closer. Its distinctive silhouette gains presence, its strength becomes tangible. What once seemed distant becomes tangible.

The third image brings the gaze very close to the rock. The mountain loses nothing of its size—in fact, in close proximity its uniqueness reveals itself.

This work brings together three black-and-white Polaroids into a visual journey. Three perspectives tell the same story in different ways. Each shot is an irreplaceable moment, each development of the analog Polaroid is unique.

A unique piece that not only shows the Matterhorn but also the evolution of the gaze on one of the world’s most iconic mountain forms.
