Description from the seller

Philip McKay (1963) is a prolific, self-taught digital artist from Liverpool in England whose work is published internationally most notably as book & music album covers. Inspired by the works of René Magritte and graphic designer Storm Thorgerson, Mckay describes his work as a mixture of surrealism and "scenes from idiotic places".

'Staring at the sea' was inspired by Anthony Gormley's 'Another Place' installation in which one hundred life sized iron man sculptures were placed along a deserted beach looking out to sea. McKay describes this image as "the story of a lonely man trying to escape his demons."
