This screen print is made with a second-hand stuffed bear and 2 inks (Warm Rose and deep dark blue/purple). The original teddy bear has been dipped in Indian ink and printed in its entirety on paper. From this original artwork a screen print has been made in an edition of 25 bears.
Technique: Hand-pulled screen print on 340-gram (acid-free) handmade paper
Includes: Artist Certificate of Authenticity

Michiel Folkers a.k.a. Gieler (1982) began graffiti in Amsterdam in the late nineties. Years later he swapped street walls for canvas in his studio. In much of his work the feeling of the streets is still clearly visible or tangible. At the moment his work is going all over the world and he is exhibiting in galleries from Zurich to New York. Especially in America his work has become popular in recent years and he hangs in the homes of several “famous people.”
