Description from the seller
Important artistic vase in satin glass with hot-fused applications – Italy, circa 1960-1980
The work is made of precious white satin glass (acid-etched) of high quality, featuring an elegant truncated-conical shape with a flared opening, and a minimalist, modern design.
The surface is embellished with numerous circular transparent glass applications fused hot directly onto the body of the vase. Each element was applied individually and subsequently hand-shaped during the processing of the incandescent glass. The subtle traces of workmanship visible on the applications provide an authentic testimony to the artisanal craft and the execution mastery typical of Murano furnaces.
The substantial thickness of the glass, the heavy base of about 3 cm, and the considerable weight of about 1.8 kg highlight a high-level creation, executed with particular attention to material quality and flawless finishing.
In terms of aesthetic conception, technical execution, glass quality, and the type of decorative applications, the vase shows significant affinities with works attributed to Archimede Seguso and with the most prestigious Murano productions destined for the international market between the 1960s and 1980s.
The elegant contrast between the white satin glass and the transparent applications creates a refined play of light, depth, and material, giving the piece a strong decorative presence and notable collectible value.
Era:
Murano, Italy, circa 1960-1980.
Dimensions:
• Height: 25 cm
• Upper diameter: 15 cm
• Base diameter: 9 cm
• Weight: about 1.8 kg
Conditions:
Excellent condition.
The vase presents itself in an extraordinarily well-preserved state, very close to new.
Only two minuscule and almost imperceptible superficial lateral scratches are noted, visible only on very careful and close inspection. At the position of these micro-sings, there is a very slight loss of satin finish, absolutely negligible and practically invisible during normal display of the piece.
The marks are so minor as to in no way affect the overall aesthetics of the vase and are mentioned solely for descriptive completeness.
No cracks.
No chipping.
No breaks.
No restoration.
Overall, a magnificently preserved specimen, particularly difficult to find in such excellent condition.
Shipping:
The item will be carefully packed with professional materials and adequate protections to ensure maximum safety during transport.
The shipment will be trackable and insured.
The lot will be sent to the nearest pickup point to the buyer’s address, according to the courier’s terms and conditions.
