Description from the seller

ROPP Bent Billiard Pipe with Silver Hallmarked Band – Antique Tobacco Pipe
Maker: Ropp, France — stamped "ROPP'S MAKE" on the band, with the faded oval Ropp logo also present on the stem.
Material: Briar wood bowl with a horn stem and a silver band, bearing genuine French hallmark punches: a diamond/lozenge-shaped maker's mark reading "ER" (the French poinçon de maître format), alongside a set of additional worn assay-style stamps consistent with French silver standard marks. These marks indicate the band is silver rather than plated or base metal, though the finer details are too worn to confirm the exact silver standard.
Shape: Classic bent billiard — straight-sided bowl with a gentle downward curve into the stem, saddle bit.
Dimensions: 13 x 5 x 3.5 cm
Weight: 49 g
Condition: Used, fully functional estate pipe. The briar bowl has a warm, even patina from age and use. The silver band shows light surface scratching consistent with handling over the decades, but the maker's stampings remain legible. The horn stem has some chipping at the edges/bit, and the Ropp logo on the stem is faded but still discernible. No cracks or structural issues affecting function — draws normally.
Age: Vintage/antique, consistent with early-to-mid 20th century Ropp production, based on the silver-banded horn-stem construction and stamping style.
