Description from the seller
A burned-out bus on the road between Ajdabiya and Brega, in Libya. The photograph was taken in 2011 during the so-called Arab Springs when, in Libya, the militias of Al-Shabab, or revolutionary youth, began fighting against Muammar Gaddafi's forces for control of the African country.
The image is signed on the back and measures 30x40 cm. It is printed in a limited edition (25 copies) on Hahnemühle Baryta FB 350 g paper and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Alessandro Gandolfi is an Italian professional photographer and journalist. Interested in telling the small and large changes of contemporary society, his reports have appeared in news outlets around the world and have been shown in various international photo exhibitions and festivals. He has received international recognitions such as the Sony World Photography Award, the NPPA Best of Photojournalism, the POY - Pictures of the Year, and the PDN. Eight of his reports published in National Geographic Italia have earned the “Best Edit Award” as the best reportage published in the various local editions of the magazine.
