Tyrolean/Bavarian carved wooden hunting pipe, called “Jägerpfeife”

An old large hunting pipe / smoking pipe, from the late 19th century or early 20th century.
The lightly carved wooden body features a relief decoration of a deer, foliage and floral motifs. A long stem, possibly dyed bamboo or hollow wood, with mounts, rings and an openwork lid in brass or gilt metal. Germanic, Austrian, or Black Forest decorative work.

A fine collectible or decorative item. In aged condition with signs of use, varnish wear, small chips, metal oxidation and a darkened interior. Not cleaned, sold as is.
