Description from the seller
A0000001495
The piece is presented in an outstanding state of preservation, standing out for its structural integrity as well as its strong aesthetic presence, typical of a high-end limited edition.
The body and cap, crafted in solid sterling silver with sculptural high-relief work, are in excellent condition, perfectly preserving the definition of the scales and the snake motif. The reliefs retain all their sharpness and volume, with no worn areas or loss of detail, which is especially relevant in this model where the quality of the engraving is decisive. A very light, homogeneous patina typical of silver is visible, enhancing the contrast and giving character without affecting its aesthetics or value at all.
The metal elements have a clean finish, with minimal handling marks, no dents, deformations, or significant wear. The contrasts and hallmarks are sharp and perfectly legible, confirming the authenticity and quality of the materials.
The ornamental details, including the snake’s eyes, are in excellent condition, well fixed and with a vivid shine, contributing depth and exclusivity to the overall piece.
The 18-carat gold nib is in impeccable condition, without deformations or alterations, with correct alignment and a clean surface. The pen has been inspected and is delivered fully operational, ensuring smooth, precise, and reliable writing performance.
The section and the filling system show very moderate use, with no buildup or signs of internal wear, evidencing proper maintenance over time.
The set is accompanied by its original case, in very good condition, with light external marks from storage, while maintaining its functionality and presentation intact.
Overall, this is a very well-preserved specimen, with exceptional presence, ideal for both collection and occasional use.
Conservation recommendations
To preserve this piece in optimal condition, it is recommended to use quality fountain pen inks, avoid pigmented inks, clean with lukewarm water if not used for a while, dry completely before storing, keep in a dry place away from direct light and extreme temperatures, and always handle the mechanism gently.
