Berrocal, Micro David-Off, a gilded bronze pendant sculpture from 1980 in gold colour, signed, edition 17806, in excellent condition, 6 cm high, 2 cm wide, 1.4 cm deep, 53 g, produced by Microdavid-off in Spain as a modern portable sculpture with a hidden ring.

Miguel Berrocal (1933-2006) — “Micro David-Off” — puzzle-sculpture/pendant — Verona, Italy
Description:
An authentic “Micro David-Off”, part of the famous “Les Portables” series (1972) by the Spanish sculptor Miguel Ortiz Berrocal — world-renowned for his disassemblable “puzzle-sculptures”, in which a complete artwork can be dismantled into dozens of precision parts. Berrocal worked from 1967 in Verona, Italy, where he collaborated with specialized foundries; his work has been exhibited internationally alongside contemporaries such as Miró and Dalí.
This piece consists of 16-17 interlocking parts that together form a male torso, with a hidden ring incorporated into the composition — a characteristic, playful element in Berrocal’s “portable sculptures”. According to the handwritten certificate, this piece is bronze, gold-plated in 1980.
Signed “Berrocal” on the shoulder, with a suspension eye (portable as a pendant).
