Erhard Gross (1926 - 2011)
Erhard Groß (born 1930) studied with Ernst Schumacher and Wolf Hoffmann at the Berlin University of the Arts. In 1953 he received a fellowship from the Kulturkreis in the Association of German Industry and from 1953 to 1961 he participated annually in ars viva. In 1954 the Nierendorf Gallery in Berlin showed his first solo exhibition. Groß belonged to the young artists who shaped the program of the newly opened Nierendorf Gallery from the mid-1950s onward.
