Medsan presents Batman Gotham Papercut, a 40×40 cm giclée on a wooden cradle, signed by hand, 1/1 unique edition from 2026, in a pop art style with a DC Comics Gotham City motif.
Description from the seller
THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this square-format work, Medsan presents Batman, Gotham City's vigilante in the DC Comics universe, in the refined style of multi-layer cut-paper art (papercut). Squatting on a gargoyle, cape unfurled, the Dark Knight dominates a Gothic city studded with cathedrals and spires, while the Bat-Signal lights up a sky of stylized clouds and a golden full moon. This unique print bears the signature « メドサン » (Medsan).
The visual strength of the composition lies in its stacked-cut aesthetic: successive layers of midnight blue, gray, and cream paper creating a relief depth, silhouettes etched with jeweler’s precision, ornamental Art Deco borders. The blue monochrome palette and the golden accent of the signal give the whole remarkable graphic elegance. It is not paper; it is a digital print reproduction, a layered cut-paper style.
The impact of the artwork comes from the meeting of pop and craftsmanship: the comic-book hero sublimated by a delicate traditional technique, far from the usual imagery of the character. Medsan reinvents Gotham’s icon in a frame of lace-like paper, dark and sumptuous.
An elegant and spectacular graphic piece, ideal for adding a pop, sophisticated, and undeniably original touch to a collector’s interior — a crush for both comics lovers and fine craftsmanship enthusiasts.

About the Atelier:
Atelier Joconde is a studio of artists gathered around a living, plural contemporary creation. Established as a true artistic production space, the atelier operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. Alongside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo pursues a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, raw art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, realized, and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic demand and an identity unique to each artist.
