It is a spread double leaf with a central crease.

In precise hatching, fine nail-like forms are tactilely embossed into the paper – a minimalist, almost meditative play of structure, light, and shadow.

The embossed print deliberately forgoes color and concentrates entirely on the feel of the surface – a hallmark of the artist, who has been famous since the 1960s for his nailed reliefs and white surface compositions. This work combines Uecker’s characteristic materiality with the graphic clarity of print graphics.
