Here we present a specimen with a decidedly modern and technological charm, belonging to one of the most iconic and bold collections from the Hamburg house: the Montblanc StarWalker Black Mystery Ballpoint Pen.
The design of this writing instrument breaks with classical conventions thanks to an innovative surface. The body is enriched by an intricate geometric pattern laser-engraved, which creates a play of lines and rectangles with a strong visual and tactile impact. This "mysterious" and contemporary treatment is masterfully enhanced by the contrast with platinum-plated, mirror-polished finishes on the distinctive aerodynamically profiled clip, on the structural rings, and on the pen-point cone. To seal the identity of the StarWalker line, we find the famous transparent dome atop, inside which the Montblanc white star emblem floats magically.
From a technical standpoint, the specimen is a ballpoint pen (Ballpoint) equipped with the reliable twist mechanism. As visible in the photographs showing the pen disassembled, the instrument uses the classic Montblanc ballpoint refills, easily available and replaceable by unscrewing the front section from the barrel.
