The nature of the technique I use makes every piece of the series a unique and unrepeatable work. The final piece may vary slightly in size and texture compared to the photos and the text.
The work consists of a pyramidal prism, three-quarters interrupted by a hollow portion. I consider this piece a revanche of the Self over the perils of existence, but also an innate longing upward. Toward a metamorphosis of form into pure energy. Matter that becomes spirit. The hollow portion that interrupts the ascent of form toward the summit is characterized as an ensemble of parts that, when unused, remain imprinted as empty traces of past experiences; the fossilized gears in the material emphasize the concept of past mechanics and dynamics now useless.
