Description from the seller

Magnificent original brass ship lamp originating from professional shipping. A characterful nautical collectible with a handsome, natural patina developed through decades of use. The lamp is equipped with the original ribbed Fresnel lens and various marks and inscriptions, including an R.I.N.A. approval and dating 09/03/1973.

The robust construction, heavy brass work, and original closures make this a particularly decorative object that fits perfectly in a maritime interior, restaurant, hotel, café, nautical museum, or private collection.

The lamp is in its original, unrestored condition. The lens shows some damage/chipping (see photos), appropriate to its age and nautical use. Precisely these signs of wear contribute to the authenticity of the piece.

Features

* Original brass ship lamp
* Equipped with original Fresnel lens
* R.I.N.A. mark present
* Dating on the lens: 09-03-1973
* Beautiful, original patina
* Heavy industrial quality
* Authentic maritime collectible
* Ideal as decoration or for a nautical collection

A splendid piece of maritime history that is increasingly hard to find in original, untouched condition.

Condition
Good original used condition with normal signs of wear. The lens has some damage and small chips, visible in the photos. Please examine the photos carefully; they form an integral part of the description.

Professionally packaged and insured shipping or pick-up is of course also possible."
