Hezzanith Aneroid Barometer Made in England Maritime

Very neat aneroid barometer from the well-known English brand Hezzanith, a trade name of Henry Hughes & Son Ltd, later Kelvin & Hughes. It is a classic maritime model with a solid brass housing, mounted on an octagonal wooden plaque.

The barometer features a clear 28–31 inHg scale and an adjustable set pointer. Glass and hands in good condition. The barometer responds as expected to pressure changes. The brass has a beautiful, even patina appropriate to its age.

Hezzanith instruments were widely used in the maritime sector and are known for their sturdy construction and accuracy. This specimen is fully original and a good example of a British nautical barometer from the mid-20th century.
