EAGLE / Aigle / Eagle, 1972
Pinakothek der Moderne
Kunstareal München

Printed in Switzerland - Vontobel, CH-8706 feldmeilen
The card is hand-signed by the recently deceased exceptional artist Georg Baselitz with a blue felt-tip pen. Includes passe-partout and frame.
Raw, powerful, expressive, bold - this is how Georg Baselitz's globally influential work can be characterized. With sexual themes, he achieved the first scandalous successes in the 1960s. Also his later heroic images are works of renewal, updates of the classical figure piece. Baselitz's fractured pictures and finally his world-famous "upside-down" paintings allowed him to break away from the depiction of content.
