Nicola Carrino’s Progetto eclissi, a mixed-media on paper from 1985 in the Moderne style, size 76 by 57 cm including the frame, signed by hand and dated on the back, sold with the frame as an original edition.

Nicola Carrino (Taranto, 1932 – Rome, 2018) was an Italian sculptor and painter, among the leading figures in abstract art and contemporary sculpture of the 20th century. After his beginnings in painting, he was among the founders of Group 1, a movement that promoted artistic research based on geometric forms, rationality, and industrial materials. He is renowned for his large modular sculptures in iron and steel, conceived to dialogue with urban space and the landscape. His works are exhibited in major museums and public spaces in Italy and abroad, and Carrino is considered one of the major innovators of Italian contemporary sculpture.

China on paper, dimensions 76x56 cm, the sole work plus 1 cm per side with the frame as a courtesy, work in excellent condition dated 1985, titled Progetto Eclissi, signed on the front, titled Datata and signed on the back. Artwork originates from the artist's studio, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the gallery Il Fioretto of Padua.
