Description from the seller

A0000005179

The pen is in excellent overall condition, presenting an impeccable aesthetic appeal and full mechanical functionality after being meticulously inspected. This is a very beautiful and highly coveted example of German manufacturing Montblanc, belonging to the sophisticated and now discontinued Bohème collection in its exclusive "Lacquer Pearl" version (factory reference 36009), characterized by combining high-writing craftsmanship with jewelry-like details.

[ THE LACQUER BODY AND GUILLOCHE Engraving ]

The central body or barrel stands out for its refined manufacturing, built on a metal base coated with white pearl lacquer with subtle iridescent specks that shift hue depending on the light. The entire lacquered surface features an intricate and clean three-dimensional guilloché engraving with a pattern of waves and concentric circles perfectly executed, offering a visually striking and tactile texture. The lacquer retains its original gloss intact, free of skips, cracks, or loss of enamel, showing a smooth and meticulously cared-for surface.

[ THE SADDLE CLIP AND THE Akoya PEARL ]

The metal and ornamental elements wear a sumptuous high-brightness gold plating, with a pristine mirror finish and free of wear in the friction areas. The front stands out with its iconic arched clip in the shape of a stirrup, characteristic of the Bohème series, at the base of which a natural Akoya pearl in white nacre tone is masterfully set with perfect orientation and no surface imperfections. At the apex, the piece is crowned by the Montblanc six-point star emblem made in white resin on a flat, black polished background.

[ MECHANICAL SECTION AND AUTHENTICITY DETAILS ]

In the functional section, the instrument operates via a precise twist-action mechanism in the upper sector, which moves smoothly, firmly, and with no play for the extraction and retraction of the nib. The triple gold-plated central band presents magnificent clarity in its relief engravings, where the signatures "MONTBLANC" and "BOHÈME" read clearly. Likewise, the reverse of the clip retains, with absolute cleanliness, the individual laser-engraved serial number and the "GERMANY" provenance inscription that guarantee the piece’s authenticity.

[ OVERALL LOT ASSESSMENT ]

Taken together, this is a contemporary high-end design piece in excellent condition, which breaks with the sobriety of black resin to offer an aristocratic aesthetic of great collectible value. It remains an excellent writing instrument or a solid investment due to its status as a discontinued boutique model, which raises its interest in the luxury secondary market.

[ CARE RECOMMENDATIONS ]

To ensure optimal long-term maintenance of the piece, it is recommended to clean the pearl lacquer surface and the gold-plated elements with a dry microfiber cloth after handling to prevent grease or fingerprint buildup. It is advised to use exclusively original Montblanc refills to guarantee smooth internal thread operation and to store the pen in its case when transporting to avoid metal-to-metal contact with other objects.

[ SHIPPING AND PACKAGING DETAILS ]

The lot will be shipped safely in its original Bohème presentation rigid case with black satin interior, accompanied by its corresponding printed booklet "Service Guide" and the outer black textured carton sleeve that retains its factory-original label with the matching reference code 36009.
