The mechanical pencil is presented in very good overall condition, showing careful use in keeping with its age, preserving a highly attractive aesthetic and an excellent feel in the hand for one of the most sought-after pieces of the famed Writers Edition series.

The body and the cap, manufactured in precious resin with a subtle marbled effect that simulates noble wood —in clear homage to the material of Robinson Crusoe’s raft— maintain well-defined lines, with light superficial marks typical of normal use, without dents, cracks, or deformations. The material retains its deep polish and an excellent shine.

The front conical nib remains immaculate, with the tip of the lead outlet perfectly aligned and clean to guarantee precise writing.

Factory engravings, including the engraved signature of the author Daniel Defoe on the cap, the crisp Montblanc mark, and the unique serial number corresponding to this limited edition, are in very good condition, remaining perfectly clean, legible, and deep.

Regarding operation, the internal mechanical propulsion mechanism has been inspected and is delivered in correct working order, responding with total smoothness and precision.

The metal components with a sober and elegant ruthenium-gold plating, which include the iconic clip sculpted in the shape of a bird’s feather and the ornamental rings with classic filigrees from 18th-century bindings, are in very good condition, maintaining the factory-original tension, fit, and firmness without play.

The upper cap stands out for housing the famous Montblanc star emblem, which remains immaculate, crowning the piece with all of its original definition.
