Ernest García presents Restaurante rosa XL, an original, hand-signed acrylic painting in multicolor tones, 100 × 70 cm, created in 2026 in Spain, in the Realism style depicting interior architecture.
Description from the seller
Rosa Restaurant is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. This work presents an intimate and carefully decorated interior, dominated by a large green arch ornamented with flowers. Two tables dressed with white tablecloths occupy the foreground, accompanied by striped red chairs and small bouquets of violets. In the background, the venue’s penumbra and a shelf with bottles add depth and suggest the calm before the arrival of diners.
The work is built from an intense palette of pinks, greens, whites and wine tones. The free use of color, the simplification of forms and the importance of decorative elements bring the painting closer to fauvism, post-impressionism and the tradition of modern interiors. Echoes of Henri Matisse in the relationship between architecture, ornament and color are perceived, as well as a sensibility close to Pierre Bonnard in the representation of everyday spaces charged with intimacy and memory.
The large floral arch functions as a frame within the painting itself and makes access to the dark salon a point of mystery. The composition balances symmetry and spontaneity: the white tables provide light, the chairs introduce rhythm and the black background creates a theatrical contrast with the pink walls. This play between clarity and penumbra transforms an empty restaurant into an expectant scene, as if something were about to begin.
Rosa Restaurant combines interior painting, decorative architecture and café scene in an image of strong chromatic presence. The work celebrates the beauty of public spaces when they are still quiet, and turns a everyday dining room into an elegant, evocative place full of references to the history of modern art.
