Oil painting on canvas, refined in the handling of colors and expressive brushstrokes
The work represents a little girl immersed in a dreamlike atmosphere where natural elements and a small goldfinch can be perceived, while the gaze interacts almost with the viewer yet protecting its imaginary world.

With the artwork will also be shipped the certificate of authenticity of the original work.

Jara Marzulli's works are part of private collections in many parts of the world, as well as public and museum collections such as in Athens, in Catania at the MacS, in Gaeta’s Pinacoteca, and at the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera and in Cadiz, Spain. She also collaborates with "The Guide artists", a physical and online store of the best figurative art worldwide.

Numerous publications appear in important catalogs, books and magazines, both in print and online, with international scope. The latest book, "La statura della palma" published by Selvatiche Edizioni, with 15 images of her works, in collaboration with the poet Francesca del Moro, is available on various stores, platforms or by orders@selvaticheedizioni.com

Jara Marzulli
born in Bari and trained at the Liceo Artistico di Bari and later at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari with top marks, and meanwhile since 1998 she has participated in shows and competitions, quickly earning recognitions, prizes and important selections.
Her figurative realist painting style quickly becomes recognizable and from 2004 international experiences begin through fairs, biennials and major exhibitions.

Her art grows and tells of a feeling that is at once ecstatic and carnal, made even more incisive and moving by the technical perfection that distinguishes the artist. A lucid and piercing expressive quality, an indefinable purity that clothes itself in painting, a constant play of displacements, of role reversals between the artist who paints and the depicted subject.

Numerous are the prestigious Biennales and art exhibitions at which she shows in Italy and abroad, such as in Turkey, at the Art Taipei Fair, Taiwan, China at the Red Elation gallery, Hong Kong, at the MEAM Museum, Barcelona, Dublin, at the Mainz Museum, Buenos Aires in Argentina and in London.

Jara Marzulli's figures have intense, direct, frontal gazes. They have the dignity of subjects ready to respond with great immediacy. The characters that almost completely occupy the canvas space manage to visually represent men, women, girls and boys who seem to recognize the observer as a stranger, sustain the gaze, push it away, distance themselves to defend the silence of their precious inner world.
