Geida Mirage is a 40x40 cm oil and acrylic on canvas contemporary portrait from 2026, in a limited edition of ten (1/10), hand-signed, sold direct from the artist in France, with a certificate of authenticity and unframed.
Description from the seller
A woman, a swimming pool, the desert. In the era of ultra-liberal consumption, of frantic use of natural resources, of global warming, the artist evokes here the mirage of our modern societies: a swimming pool desperately empty, dry and covered in sand, leaving a woman with a sad and nostalgic gaze, alone on a diving board of something that has become useless. GEIDA poetically evokes an era soon to be over, a time past when everything was available in abundance, where consumption, individual pleasures, and leisure were erected as a model of society. What will become tomorrow of these places, these spaces of leisure and carefree consumption, faced with the climate reality? The mirage of an Oasis turned to desert.
GEIDA is a French artist from the south of France, born in 1982, on the shores of the Côte d’Azur.
Inspired by classical and modern painting, he navigates between contemporary works and street art. His creations incorporate emblematic elements of classical and pop culture. His works are characterized by re-interpretations of major painters, warm colors, expressive and enchanting compositions.
GEIDA explores different forms of universes and productions. Some of his works are reproduced in small series on stretched canvases, thus creating limited editions accessible to a wider public.
The artist’s style reflects a blend between classical art and new techniques, with the aim of captivating attention, provoking thought, and elevating interiors.
