Valentin Magaro – Acrylic on canvas – Cocoon Series – 2000 – signed
Original work by the Swiss artist Valentin Magaro (*1972, Münsterlingen, lives and works in Winterthur).
The painting was created in 2000 in connection with the project “Cocoon at Pigall” in Zurich. The work was personally gifted by the artist to the current owner at that time. The provenance is documented by a written confirmation from Valentin Magaro dated 2025.
The characteristic black net-like structure over a field of intensely luminous yellow, orange and green colors refers to the artist's typical visual language during this creative phase. The work can be displayed both horizontally and vertically.
Valentin Magaro has been awarded, among other things, the Adolf-Dietrich Promotion Prize and received further sponsorship prizes from UBS Kulturstiftung as well as the International Bodensee Conference. His works have been shown in numerous exhibitions in Switzerland and internationally and are in private as well as public collections.

Original painting by Swiss artist Valentin Magaro (*1972).
The work was created in 2000 as part of the artistic environment surrounding the project “Cocoon at Pigall” in Zurich, Switzerland. It was personally gifted by the artist to the current owner. The provenance is supported by a written email confirmation from Valentin Magaro dated 2025.
The composition features an intricate black organic network structure spreading across a luminous background of yellow, orange and green tones. The visual language evokes cellular, botanical and biomorphic forms, characteristic of Magaro’s work from this period.
Executed in acrylic on canvas, the painting demonstrates a strong balance between geometric precision and organic growth. The contrast between the dark linear structure and the vibrant chromatic field creates a sense of depth, tension and movement.
