Montblanc - StarWalker Rubber Line - Pen

In this section we present an exemplar of exquisitely modern and technological charm, belonging to one of the most iconic and daring collections from the Hamburg house: the Montblanc StarWalker Rubber Line Roller Pen.

The design of this writing instrument breaks with classical schemes thanks to an innovative and highly tactile surface. The body and cap are coated in soft black rubber resin, which guarantees an exceptionally secure and comfortable grip. This texture is enriched by a sophisticated grid pattern made with platinum-plated inserts, creating a play of lines with strong visual impact and giving the pen a unmistakable high-tech look. The material contrast is masterfully enhanced by platinum-plated and mirror-polished finishes, present on the smooth grip section, on the structural rings, and on the distinctive aero-dynamic clip. To seal the line’s identity, we find the famous transparent dome on the top of the cap, inside which the Montblanc white star emblem floats magically.

The exemplar is configured as a Roller Pen (Rollerball). The cap, equipped with a secure screw closure to protect the tip, can be conveniently screwed onto the tail end of the barrel during use, ensuring perfect balance of weight in the hand. As documented by the photographs showing the pen disassembled, the instrument uses the reliable original Montblanc liquid ink refills, easily replaceable by unscrewing the front metal section.

The overall condition of the object is to be considered in excellent general condition. The rubber resin surface is in splendid shape, not tacky and free of scratches or chipping, maintaining its geometric charm and pleasant feel to the touch. The grid inserts and the platinum finishes are bright and gleaming, showing only the physiological and almost imperceptible micro-scratches (hairlines) arising from normal careful use. The upper transparent dome is crystalline and the floating star is intact.
