Montblanc StarWalker Doué roller/fineliner with platinum-plated cap and front section, black resin body, 12 cm long and 1.2 cm in diameter, made in Germany in the Fine XX century, in excellent used condition and in working order, complete with original Montblanc box.
Description from the seller
Here we present an elegant and refined model from the most contemporary line of the Hamburg house, namely the Montblanc StarWalker Doué Roller Pen, characterized by its unmistakable horizontal guilloché work. This specific variant represents one of the most fascinating and tactile expressions of the StarWalker line, playing on a contrast of materials and textures of the very highest level. The massive cap and the smooth front section of the grip are made of metal with a brilliant platinum-like finish; the cap, in particular, is entirely traversed by this refined horizontal groove. The body, on the other hand, is forged in luxurious black resin and faithfully repeats the same circular stripe motif found on the metal. This geometric continuity between resin and platinum creates a visual effect of strong industrial rigor and guarantees formidable grip during use. To crown the tool, we find the indispensable and iconic transparent resin dome that houses inside it the famous floating Montblanc white star, an unmistakable signature of this series.
From a technical and functional point of view, we are facing a highly versatile writing instrument configurable as both Roller and Fineliner, capable of satisfying every need for fluidity and precision of the stroke. Unlike classic ballpoint models governed by a twist mechanism, this prestigious Doué variant provides a solid protective cap to optimally preserve the freshness and perfect smoothness of the liquid ink. As clearly shown by the photographic gallery that illustrates the pen disassembled into all its essential components, maintenance and refill replacement are extremely easy and intuitive: simply unscrew the glossy, tapered metal grip section from the grooved resin body to access the reservoir. This solid and precise build not only ensures rapid reloading, but also provides formidable stability and perfect balance of the pen during extended writing sessions, making it a reliable directional companion.
Regarding the conservation status of this fascinating specimen, it should be considered in excellent overall condition, a clear testament to careful and respectful use over time. The platinum finishes of the cap, the clip with architectural profile, and the front section remain bright and beautifully preserved, with only extremely light, physiological micro-scratches visible in backlight due to normal wear. The body in exquisite black striped resin maintains the geometric perfection of its workmanship, showing no structural defects, deep scratch, or obvious signs of wear. To further enhance its value, commercial value, and desirability for collectors and connoisseurs of luxury writing instruments, the pen is offered complete with its elegant original Montblanc box.
