Montblanc StarWalker Rubber & Metal ballpoint pen, with a rubber and metal body and platinum plating, made in Germany in the Fine XX century, in excellent condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Here we present one of the most tactile, architectural, and contemporary models from the Hamburg house: the Montblanc StarWalker Rubber & Metal Ballpoint Pen (often affectionately called by collectors the “Rubber Line”). The StarWalker line represents Montblanc's most modern, forward-looking spirit. The body features an exclusive black premium rubber surface, etched to reveal a rigorous and elegant metallic grid pattern with platinum plating. This finish not only gives the instrument a distinctive technical and metropolitan look, but also provides exceptional grip during writing. The metal fittings, including the robust clip, are fully platinum-plated. To crown the top, we have the collection’s aesthetic signature: the famous white Montblanc star suspended and floating inside the clear resin dome.
Technically, unlike the Roller/Fineliner variant, this time we are dealing with a very comfortable and practical Ballpoint Pen. The tip is deployed via a smooth and reliable continuous twist mechanism. As clearly shown by the images that depict the instrument disassembled, replacing the refill (which uses the standard Montblanc ballpoint refills) is simple and intuitive by unscrewing the heavy front metal section (the cone) from the rest of the barrel.
The conservation state of this object is to be regarded as in excellent overall condition. It is important to emphasize that the rubber surface (which in poorly preserved examples tends to deteriorate) here appears perfectly intact, matte, and free of obvious wear. The grid pattern etched in metal also shows no dents. The platinum-plated finishes are bright and highly polished, with only the physiological and very slight micro-scratches (hairlines) in direct light, resulting from normal, careful use.
