Kawasaki GPX 600 R from 1991
In original condition with low mileage on the clock, a unique opportunity!
In the late 80s and early 90s, this was one of Kawasaki's flagship sport bikes. Riders wanted increasingly sportier machines, but not everyone needed a heavy 750 or 1000 cc. Kawasaki therefore introduced the GPX 600 R. It was a modern sport bike with liquid cooling, an aluminium wheel set, full fairing, and a powerful four-cylinder.
The 592cc liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine is known for being smooth, eager for revs, and surprisingly strong above 7,000 rpm. While modern bikes have a lot of torque at the bottom, the GPX comes alive as the revs rise. That gives it the true ’90s sport bike feel. It’s fast enough to make an impression, but comfortable and forgiving enough to ride on weekends as well. That may make it more attractive today than some sharper successors.
This GPX 600 has always been neatly maintained by the previous owner and still looks good. A few signs of use revealing its age. A beautiful example in original condition. Incidentally, this motorcycle has a very low mileage of 18,339 kilometers. A unique opportunity for the enthusiast or collector!
It has stood still for a while and needs to be restarted. The engine block is currently operable and starts for a few seconds with starting spray (see video). The carburetors need cleaning and the battery needs replacement. The tires have a DOT code: front 0706 and rear 0506.

The GPX 600 R is increasingly appreciated among enthusiasts of classic Japanese sport motorcycles; this bike represents an interesting transitional period. It came from a time when sport bikes were fast, but not extreme. There were hardly any electronic aids. Everything revolved around a good chassis, a high-revving four-cylinder, and the rider’s skills.
Original examples are becoming rarer. A beautiful opportunity for both the collector and the enthusiastic rider.
The motorcycle has a valid Dutch registration.
If desired, export papers can be requested for €35,-
With these papers you can register it throughout Europe.
Delivered including an invoice listing the technical details.
No reserve price: It will be sold to the highest bidder.
The motorcycle can be viewed and picked up in Winssen (Gelderland), Netherlands.
We can arrange transport.
Transport possible via a transport company (costs on buyer).

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
