Description from the seller
"Ofuscamiento" – Original sculpture by Jesús Castelló.
Signed by the renowned Valencian sculptor Jesús Castelló (Senyera Award 1983), "Ofuscamiento" is a masterful piece that fuses the nobility of veined red marble with the solidity of bronze. The work poses a deep metaphorical play on perception and human psychology: it represents those states of mental closure in which we shut ourselves behind our own invisible walls. From the inside, the perspective is claustrophobic, reduced to a minimal crack through which light barely passes. However, the genius of the piece lies in the duality of its spatial design; by changing the point of view to the spectator’s gaze, the composition reveals the reverse of the situation: a clear opening and an escape route. A key collection piece that stands out both for its flawless technical execution and for its philosophical charge.
