House-4-Souls is part of the eponymous photo series. The work is an archival pigment print on high-quality Hahnemühle Photo Rag, mounted on aluminium and framed in a handmade Mansonia wooden frame. The size is 24 × 30 cm. This is edition 1 of 12, signed.
The House-4-Souls series tells the story of a family from Elburg who bought a dilapidated urban farm in the historic center. The restoration took seven years. During that entire period the parents and their three daughters lived in the attic of the house, while they spent all their spare time restoring the home to its former glory step by step.
For this series photographer Ursula van de Bunte followed the family for one day. The photos show not only daily life, but also the special atmosphere of the centuries-old house. The house is thus more than a backdrop: it tells a story of dedication, perseverance, and the soul that a home can receive.
Ursula's studio is located in a monumental building on the IJssel in the Hanseatic city of Kampen. She exhibits her work in museums, galleries, and at art fairs.

Her work is unconventional and the use of light leans toward her sources of inspiration: the paintings of Jacques-Louis David, Rembrandt and Caravaggio.
As a photographer Ursula also seeks to distinguish herself through diversity in her work, and beside individual creations she makes series, where multiple images tell one story. She is notably discovered with her intriguing, still lifes: the series Plastic Vegetables and the series House-4-Sale. These works have been awarded with various prizes, among them for the series “de 100 van Rooyackers.”
