Description from the seller

Lilac is an original handmade cyanotype created from the artist's own photograph, capturing the abundant bloom of lilac in full spring. The delicate clusters of blossoms are transformed into luminous shades of Prussian blue through the historic cyanotype process, creating a dreamlike interpretation of one of nature's most beloved flowers.

Printed by hand on premium watercolor paper, each cyanotype is individually coated, exposed, and developed, ensuring that every print is unique. The subtle brush marks, rich blue tones, and textured paper emphasize the handcrafted character of this 19th-century photographic technique while giving the image a timeless, painterly quality.

Combining contemporary fine art photography with one of the earliest photographic printing processes, this work celebrates the fleeting beauty of spring and the quiet elegance of botanical forms. It is an ideal piece for collectors of alternative photography, cyanotypes, and handmade fine art prints.
