Description from the seller
Dunhill Rollagas Barley Pattern Golf Club Presentation Lighter, Switzerland, 1967
A classic vintage Dunhill Rollagas pocket lighter made in Switzerland in 1967. This gold-plated example features the finely engine-turned Barley pattern design and is preserved together with its original red Dunhill presentation case and instruction booklets.
The Rollagas became one of Alfred Dunhill's most important creations and remains one of the finest luxury lighters ever produced. Its elegant proportions, precision construction and distinctive roll-bar ignition mechanism established a design that has remained closely associated with Dunhill for decades.
This example is particularly interesting for its presentation history. The lid bears a custom engraving from the historic Blair Atholl Golf Club in Scotland, dated May 1967 and dedicated to C.J.D., giving the lighter a specific provenance and adding an appealing element of Scottish golfing history.
The gold-plated brass body is decorated with Dunhill's classic engine-turned Barley pattern, creating a finely textured geometric surface while retaining the restrained appearance characteristic of the Rollagas design.
Complete with:
• Original Dunhill red presentation case
• Original instruction booklets
Height: 6.4 cm
Width: 2.4 cm
Depth: 1.2 cm
Weight: 73 g
Good vintage condition with expected minor signs of handling. The lighter has not been used for many years. When last used it operated correctly and produced a strong flame. It is offered as a collectible vintage lighter and, as with all vintage lighters, routine servicing may be required before regular use.
A standard-production Dunhill Rollagas model, made considerably more distinctive by its dated Blair Atholl Golf Club presentation engraving, documented provenance and survival with its original case and instruction booklets.
Please study the accompanying photographs carefully as they form an integral part of this description.
The shipping cost includes professional packaging, full insurance and tracked delivery.
