Description from the seller
Alberto Burri
Historic serigraphy from 1969
Titled "Letter E"
Part of the folder on the 6 letters by the master curated by the prestigious Roman workshop 2RC, published in 1969
The print measures 50x35 cm (sheet) with the image area about 24x22 cm
It is signed in pencil by the artist at the bottom right
Penciled numbered 90/90 at the bottom left
The work is the same as that published in the catalog "Alberto Burri, Graphic Works" edited by Cesare Brandi for 2RC Edizioni, a catalog that will be sent as a complimentary gift along with the work (see photo)
The print is in fair condition and shows minor nicks at the margins and on the reverse, which in no way affect the central body
The dry stamp of the 2RC workshop is present at the bottom left
The work has been shown in multiple solo exhibitions by the artist (see photo with indications) and is widely published.
Together with the work, a poster will be sent (see photo) with the publication of the serigraphy on the occasion of the exhibition at Palazzo Albizzini (Pg) which hosts the Burri Foundation, where the work, with a different numbering, is on permanent display.
Additionally, the original folder (see photo) that contained the 6 graphics is issued, also in excellent condition.
The work is framed with a simple period burlwood frame and protective glass, shipped as a complimentary gift; inside is a dark gray passe-partout that intensifies its colors (see last 2 photos).
A unique opportunity to collect a prestigious artist, an absolute master of Arte Povera, through one of his best graphic works of proven value.
