Here we present one of the most dynamic and contemporary models from the Hamburg house, a perfect balance between traditional resin elegance and a design with a strong hi-tech accent: the Montblanc StarWalker Platinum Resin Rollerball / Fineliner Pen.

The body and cap of this writing instrument are skillfully crafted in the classic deep black precious resin, whose mirror polish creates a magnificent contrast with the bright platinum-plated finishes on the characteristic aerodynamic clip and on the heavy structural rings. The true distinguishing feature of this specific configuration is the grip section: made of solid metal, it features a sophisticated micro-grain diamond-cut knurling. This detail not only guarantees an extremely firm and comfortable grip during long writing sessions, but also gives the pen a distinctive and bold modern character. To crown the silhouette, the famous transparent dome atop the cap houses the emblem of the floating white star.

The specimen is configured for liquid ink writing (Rollerball or Fineliner). The cap, equipped with a secure screw closure to protect the nib, can be conveniently screwed onto the pen’s butt during use, ensuring perfect weight balance in the hand. As documented by the photographs showing the pen disassembled, replacing the refill (currently fitted with an original Montblanc Rollerball) is simple and intuitive, by unscrewing the grip block from the resin body.

The object’s condition is to be considered generally excellent. The precious resin retains a splendid gloss and is structurally perfect, totally free of cracks, chipping, or evident defects; only very slight and physiological micro-scratches (hairlines) resulting from normal careful use are observed. The platinum plating remains intact and bright, just as the particular knurled grip finish shows no wear. The upper transparent dome is crystal-clear and the floating star is intact.
