Description from the seller
This is an interesting and rare photograph of the renowned Hungarian/Swiss photographer Paul Almasy (1906-2003), depicting a Maya family visiting the Pinsé museum, near the famous Kukulkan pyramid, in the Chichen Itza region, today fully up-to-date, but in the 1960s still inhabited by the Maya population. It is a reasonably large photograph, 23.7 x 29.5 cm, and it is a truly beautiful and meaningful example of Almasy's photographic work. Duly stamped on the back with "Almasy," as many of his works that have gone to auction, and also by a famous Italian magazine of the period which had published the photograph in September 1967. The photo is in excellent condition and guaranteed authentic.
