Medsan presents a 40 × 40 cm Giclée unique work, titled "Ramen Doraemon Spirit (ラーメンのドラえもん)" (1/1), created in 2026 in France, signed by hand, in excellent condition, depicting pop culture with a Japanese sumi-e style, mounted on a wooden stretched canvas.
Description from the seller
ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD exists - EDITION 1/1
With this square-format artwork, Medsan brings Doraemon, the famous robotic cat from Osamu Tezuka's future... sorry, Fujiko Fujio's, to life, like a steam deity rising from a bowl of steaming ramen. Painted in a Japanese ink wash style (sumi-e), the character is drawn in fine ink lines at the heart of bluish swirls rising from the soup garnished with char siu, a soft-boiled egg, and chives. The cartouche bears the signature “メドサン” (Medsan).
The visual strength of the composition lies in its delicate treatment with ink and watercolor: bright, spontaneous black lines, diluted blue stains evoking the steam, white reserves on old textured paper. The robot cat, translucent, seems to materialize from the steam itself, like a benevolent yōkai.
The impact of the work rests on its light, indulgent poetry: the icon of Japanese childhood transformed into a ramen spirit, between pictorial tradition and pop tenderness. Medsan marries the elegance of ancestral wash with the imagery of modern animation in an image full of sweetness and humor.
A poetic, pared-down piece full of charm, ideal for adding a pop, zen, and decidedly original touch to a designer and collector’s interior — a favorite for manga lovers as well as fans of traditional Japanese art.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a studio of artists gathered around a living and plural contemporary creation. Established as a true art production space, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. By his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo follows a more instinctive path, blending abstract art, naive art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created, and supervised within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity unique to each artist.
