Medsan's unique 40 × 40 cm giclée on wood, titled Kintsugi Mandalorian (金継ぎのマンダロリアン) - UNIQUE WORK, 2026, hand-signed, in excellent condition, edition 1/1, direct from the artist.
Description from the seller
THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this square-form work, Medsan transforms the helmet of the Mandalorian — the iconic bounty hunter from the series The Mandalorian (Star Wars) — into a piece of Japanese porcelain repaired with kintsugi. The beskar helm is covered with cobalt blue and iron red floral motifs in the style of Arita-Imari, its cracks sublimed by fine veins of gold, on a deep black background. This unique giclée bears the signature « メドサン » (Medsan).
The visual power of the composition lies in its oil painting technique with generous impasto: peonies, swirls and arabesques mimicking ceramic glaze, traversed by the web of golden cracks characteristic of kintsugi — the art of “repairing with gold.” The contrast of porcelain white and deep blue on the dark background powerfully emphasizes the iconic helmet.
The impact of the work rests on its symbolic charge: the solitary warrior who never takes off his helmet, whose armor is both shell and identity, transfigured into a precious and vulnerable work of art. Kintsugi, an expression of wabi-sabi, celebrates the beauty of what bears the traces of its trials — a perfect resonance with the character’s journey.
A noble, pictorial and deeply symbolic piece, ideal for bringing a refined, golden and resolutely original touch to a collector’s interior — a favorite for lovers of pop culture as well as Japanese culture.

About the Workshop:
Atelier Joconde is a collective of artists united around a living and plural contemporary creation. Established as a true center of artistic production, the workshop operates both as a collective creation space and through individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. By his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, outsider art and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created and followed within the workshop, with a shared artistic standard and an identity of its own for each artist.
