Medsan’s 40 × 40 cm giclée titled Kintsugi Multi Face (金継ぎの芸者) – UNIQUE WORK, edition 1/1 from 2026, hand-signed, produced in France on a wooden-framed canvas, depicting a geisha in a pop art style with kintsugi and gold leaf, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this square-format work, Medsan gathers the portrait of a geisha, a queenly figure of ukiyo-e, and the Japanese philosophy of kintsugi — the art of repairing cracks with gold rather than hiding them. The face seems seen through a cracked window, each shard slightly shifting the features, until the gaze is multiplied into a melancholic vertigo.
The treatment plays on a generous pictorial matter: oil impasto, knife-worked flesh tones, deep red lips, on a midnight blue background enhanced with gold leaf. Fracture lines run across the entire surface, outlined in gold, while a golden tear flows from an eye — the crack transformed into a jewel. The cartouche メドサン signs the composition.
The work embodies the full meaning of kintsugi: the crack is not a shame to hide but a story to honor, sublimated by gold. The geisha, icon of grace and self-control, lets her fragility surface — and it is precisely this golden fault that makes her more beautiful, more true, more precious.
A poetic and refined piece, ideal for adding a precious and contemplative touch to a contemporary, minimalist collector’s interior sensitive to Japanese aesthetics.

About the Workshop:
Atelier Joconde is a workshop of artists gathered around a living and plural contemporary creation. Set up like a real art production space, the workshop operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. At his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo pursues a more instinctive inquiry, blending abstract art, outsider art and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, produced and supervised within the workshop, with a shared artistic standard and a unique identity for each artist.
