Willy Bern - Jean Paul Belmondo

This is a pair of vintage photographs of the renowned actor Jean-Paul Belmondo taken by the famous French reportage photographer Willy Bern, both dated 1963. In this shoot the actor, then exactly 30 years old, was at a tailor for the final fitting of a suit with a waistcoat, and the two photographs depict him in the various stages of the waistcoat and jacket fitting. Willy Bern was one of the finest French photographers of the 20th century; he worked independently and for agencies and famous newspapers, including the well-known Photo Dalmas agency, for which photographers such as Raymond Depardon, Ray Wilson, Manuel Bidermanas, Robert Descharnes, and others also worked. These are two genuine vintage photographs, duly stamped by Willy Bern on behalf of the famous Photo Dalmas agency, the format is almost square, thus almost certainly cropped from 6x6 negatives. Overall excellent condition, the photos measure 19.6x18.2 cm (about 7.7x7.1 inches).
