Description from the seller
DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
Splendid and imposing original painting by the well-known Italian painter Ettore "Illi" Grignani, an important and richly composed period piece from his most famous and historically sought-after line by collectors: the expanse of snow-covered roofs and perched farmhouses. The painting technique stands out for a refined geometric-cubist decomposition of forms, where the blankets of snow on the roofs, chimneys, and architectures fit together in a dense dynamic mosaic. The masterful use of cool tones and green and blue shades lends the entire scene a silent, poetic atmosphere with extraordinary decorative impact.
