Description from the seller
Very beautiful drypoint with gold leaf retouch by Walter Valentini on Magnani Pescia paper from 2004
Printer: G. Serafini
Walter Valentini (Pergola, October 22, 1928 – Milan, May 20, 2022) was an Italian painter, sculptor, and engraver, internationally recognized in the field of graphics and engraving.
Like the plates, graphic works are not flat surfaces: with a refined drypoint intaglio technique, Valentini presses the paper so that the drawing remains raised relative to the plane. The subjects of these engravings are the same as the plates; only the technique varies: it ranges from aquatint to etching to drypoint.
