Description from the seller

A0000003554

The piece is presented in very good overall condition, standing out for its elegant finish in golden metal with a deep and uniform shine that reflects careful upkeep over time. The body and cap maintain an excellent aesthetic presence, with micro signs of superficial wear visible only upon close inspection and certain incidences of light, typical of light and respectful use.

The clip preserves its structural firmness and correct alignment, without deformations, maintaining its optimal functionality. The engravings on the band are sharp and well defined, indicating careful preservation without significant wear to the inscriptions.

The nib, in 14-karat gold (14K), is in very good condition, with no visible deformities in the tines. It presents light usage marks consistent with writing, not affecting its performance. The feed appears clean and correctly aligned, ensuring adequate ink flow. The pen has been serviced and is delivered in proper working order, ready for use.

The filling system operates smoothly, showing precise actuation and no play, reinforcing the good mechanical condition of the whole.

A light patina and minimal pinpoint marks are visible on the golden finish, especially in areas of habitual contact, which do not detract at all from its overall aesthetics, but rather add character to the piece.

As there is no original box, it will be sent in a courtesy box for proper storage. Happy bidding!

Conservation recommendations

To keep the pen in optimal condition, it is recommended to use high-quality inks specific for fountain pens, avoid pigmented inks, clean with lukewarm water if not used for a while, dry completely before storing, keep in a dry place away from direct light and extreme temperatures, and operate the filling system gently.
