In this lot we present the writing instrument with the most generous and authoritative proportions of Hamburg craftsmanship, rendered in a modern aesthetic with a chillingly refined allure: the Montblanc Meisterstück LeGrand Ballpoint Pen (Model 161) with Platinum Line finishes.

Compared to the standard Classique model, the LeGrand stands out for a noticeably larger barrel diameter and weight. This enhanced “stature” provides a sense of extraordinary solidity, ensuring an exceptionally comfortable grip and an unrivaled on-pocket presence. The cigar-shaped body is forged in glossy black precious resin, enhanced by the bright platinum-plated finishes on the three solid rings, on the clip, and on the imposing nib/tip. The crown cap proudly bears the unmistakable white star emblem.

Mechanical operation relies on the classic smooth twist system. The excellent photographs of the disassembled pen reveal the robust brass internal threading, a design detail specific to the LeGrand line that certifies its absolute quality and originality. Inside is the original Montblanc refill.

The overall condition is assessed as excellent both structurally and aesthetically. The black resin maintains a mirror-like polish and is free of chips or cracks; only the physiological and almost imperceptible micro-scratches (hairlines) are scattered along the body. The platinum plating is bright and intact. In keeping with the usual and rigorous transparency, it is essential to note the presence of a professionally customized engraving on the side of the cap bearing the initials “G G” in an elegant gold-colored cursive font (clearly visible in the provided photographs). The serial code is regularly engraved on the clip ring.
