Description from the seller

A0000003554

The piece is presented in generally very good condition, standing out for its elegant finish in gold metal with a deep, uniform shine that reflects careful upkeep over time. The body and cap maintain an excellent aesthetic presence, with micro signs of superficial use visible only under close inspection and certain light incidences, typical of light and respectful use.

The clip preserves its structural firmness and correct alignment, with no deformations, maintaining optimal functionality. The engravings on the ring are crisp and well defined, indicating careful preservation with no significant wear on the inscriptions.

The nib, in 14-karat gold (14K), is in very good condition, with no visible deformities in the tines. It shows slight signs of use consistent with writing, not affecting performance. The feed appears clean and properly aligned, guaranteeing adequate ink flow. The pen has been serviced and is delivered in proper working order, ready for use.

The filling system operates smoothly, showing precise action and no play, reinforcing the good mechanical conservation of the set.

A light patina and minimal pinpoint marks are visible on the gold finish, especially in areas of habitual contact, which do not detract from its overall aesthetics but rather add character to the piece.

As the original box is not available, it will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper preservation. Happy bidding!

Conservation recommendations

To keep the pen in optimal condition, it is recommended to use high-quality inks specifically for fountain pens, avoid pigmented inks, clean with lukewarm water if not used for a while, dry completely before storing, keep in a dry place away from direct light and extreme temperatures, and operate the filling system gently.
